FAQ

On which platforms are the apps available?

Currently iOS and Andriod are supported. We hope to add availability for other platforms very soon.

Do the apps have to be downloaded on-site?

No, the apps can be downloaded from their respective app stores at any time. Apps may be downloaded on site but there is a size restriction when downloading using a cellular data network (i.e. when using 3G), some sites have opted to install their own wireless local area network (WLAN) in order to facilitate the downloading of large apps when on-site.

Do the apps work inside and outside?

Yes, once the app is downloaded onto the device it will work anywhere. The only exception to this is where GPS is used. In some cases (such as underground or in dense areas of tall buildings) a GPS signal can be hard to receive.

App Development

Which platforms are avaliable?

At ATS Heritage we currently design and develop apps for both iOS (Apple) and Android (Google).

Easy to use

It could not be easier, the visitor simply downloads the app from the online store, it is installed to their device. The visitor is then able to use the app at their leisure.

On Site

As well as app development, we also lease our own handheld guide; the iTouch Guide©, which allows visitors without supported smart phones to use our apps.

We can supply racks for up to 60 units to allow batch charging

Support

Both our apps and the iTouch Guide© are fully supported, customisable products. You will have access to a full support for 12 months. After 12 months a support contract can be purchased.
