Disability & Accessibility
ATS Heritage regards the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and its subsequent Amendments as a welcome stimulus. Access is always uppermost in our minds when considering interpretative, engineering, or audio and multimedia guide solutions. Effectiveness of the solutions is dependent on the quality of software and content, and the hardware solution.
Within our team not only do we have trained 'describers' for Visually Impaired scripts but we are extremely lucky to have the services of a brother and sister team (Spencer and Lucy). Lucy, featured on our home page has been deaf since birth and she and Spencer deal with all aspects of developing signed tours as well as providing consultancy and training. With each product we understand its appropriateness for visitors with different access needs.
We try not to pigeonhole visitors into particular types of (dis)ability but we have solutions to suit across the range of visual impairment, hearing impairment, learning difficulties and physical impairment.
