Hearing Impaired Visitors
Audio Guides
Our audio guides are specially designed to be able to cater to the neeeds of hearing impaired visitors. The Orpheo guides can have hearing loops fitted and work well with hearing aids set to the T setting. Please ask if you would like us to supply a hearing loop and we advise that all audioguide systems have a minimum of at least one unit available for hearing impaired visitors.
Video Guides & Signed Tours
A very useful and relatively new product, our Orpheo Neo video guide has enormous advantages for visitors with profound hearing impairments or who are totally deaf. The equipment can be used to provide a complete signed tour, translated to British Sign Language, and overlaid on appropriate images, or ones that help with navigation of the site.
Here at ATS Heritage we are very lucky to have the services of an extremely experienced and professional team who will work with the scriptwriter to make sure that the experience of the hearing impaired or deaf visitor is equal to that of all other visitors. Lucy (featured on our homepage) has been deaf since birth and has worked alongside her brother on a number of our projects.
