ATS Heritage replaced the older AcoustiGuide loop system in the Mary Rose Ship
Hall with a GuideMan AudioGuides. A 150 wand system was installed with the minimum
of disruption and was up and working within one day of installation.
Chris Dobbs, of the Mary Rose Trust, wrote the script and there are adult and
childrens scripts available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
The Chief Executive of The Mary Rose Trust John Lippiet said
"The story of the sinking of the Mary Rose, her
discovery, excavation and raising, is known worldwide and the ship hall has
been visited by over 6 million people. Changing the audio guide is a significant
improvement to the visitor's experience of the Mary Rose experience. We know
ATS Heritage well and were impressed by the technology and as the Trust is
a Charity, they had to demonstrate best value for money. ATS performed well
on all fronts."
