How to activate
Conventionally you would have a button to operate your audio system. At ATS Heritage we are anything but conventional and we have a range of methods of starting your audio experience including:
- Pushbutton
- Pressure mat
- Infrared movement sensor
- Linked to the results of an interactive
- Touch, using our Tap sensor
- Timed to play at set times of day
- Repeated to play at set intervals
Talking Boxes & Audio Posts
At ATS Heritage we do not just produce MP3 Players, we have a wide range of our unique Talking Boxes® to suit all of your audio requirements. Fixed units with speakers, handsets, directional speakers or audio booths, or even conversions of old radios, television sets or telephones. Just let us know your requirement and we will be sure to find a solution to suit.
We have a number of existing in-house designs for fixed Talking Boxes housed in a high quality steel housing and spray painted in a colour of your choice. You can even have your name, logo screen printed on them. Not only can these units be used inside, we have had them operating externally for over 5 years in the wind and rain! Where you have an interpretation panel or display we can also fit our Talking Box audio technology into your unit.
Designed for Outside
Have you a project outside that needs audio?
We can provide fully water and weatherproof Talking Posts® that can be powered by batteries, DC Power (from a mains transformer) or even solar power.
We have ready made Solar Power panels that can be used with any of our products. Our panels can also be made water and weatherproof.
See right a solar powered panel fitted in Kew gardens that is used to play bird sounds to help visitors differentiate between their wonderful songs. Also external audio posts that play when you touch them.
Sound Pollution
Although audio can greatly enhance an exhibition, you may want to limit ‘audio pollution’. Consider using directional speakers either as shown (sound domes) or flat panel apeakers. Another option is to use a fixed handset or audio guides.
Battery Power
Whilst it is ideal if we can use solar or mains power it is perfectly possible to use battery power.
We have a number of solutions and designs pre-built or we can design a bespoke unit to suit your needs.
